Come and have a look at our Leapfrog room. Just like the other rooms, there's lots to play with and discover. Because this is the last room we play in before school, we also learn new things such as our numbers, phonics and we also have our own library books. There can be up to 24 children in Leapfrogs within a ratio of 1:8. We base our planning on the children's interests both at home and in the nursery so the children are always having lots of fun. Our practice is guided by the “Early Years Foundation Stage” curriculum and a copy of our planning is displayed outside our classroom. We encourage the children to be actively involved in planning their own play and the activities we offer. We would also like parents/carers to inform us of their children’s interests. This can be done by writing ideas on the board provided outside the classroom. Alternatively photos or pictures can be brought in from home and included in your child’s learning journey. Each child in Leapfrogs has their own named coat peg and drawer.
